Matterhorn and Dent Blanche in superb condition.

The last couple of weeks have been very warm and dry in the Alps. This has resulted in many of the classic high mountain routes being in very good condition. Last week whilst working for Martin Moran I climbed the Matterhorn, followed by the Dent Blanche earlier this week.

Les Murray came with me on the Matterhorn. I didn't realise how much this mountain meant to him until the tears welled up on the summit! Good man, a very well deserved prize after two weeks of great alpine climbing. Well done Les.
The Dent Blanche was an equally special moment for Katherine Henderson and Chris. They both moved well over the brilliant rock scrambling allowing for a fast trip up and down. The weather continues to be good this week with only a small blip forecast for Wednesday. If you haven't been to the Alps yet this summer, then get yourself over here. Thanks.
